Payment and Insurance Information
I am currently in-network with Kaiser MidAtlantic insurance plans. I am considered an out-of-network provider with all other insurances. That means that you will be billed for the session cost upfront. The good news is that most insurance companies reimburse a good portion of your session costs – and I am here to help you navigate that process! Clients often receive reimbursement of 50%-90% of my session fees. Feel free to click on the button below to learn more about your reimbursement amount:
How to Receive Insurance Reimbursement:
You will add a card on file while completing your initial intake forms. Your card on file will be charged after each session.
At the end of each month, you will receive a monthly statement, called a superbill, which you can then submit directly to your insurance company through the easy Reimbursify process here:
After you submit the superbill, your insurance will reimburse you for a portion of what you paid for my services.
If this is your first time filing an insurance claim after paying a healthcare provider directly, rest assured that the process is very simple – plus, you’ll have me in your corner. I’ve helped patients get fair and accurate reimbursement for psychotherapy from a wide variety of insurance carriers. Reimbursify makes it easy, quick, and reliable to get the reimbursement you deserve.
Why I don’t bill insurance companies directly:
In alignment with many of my colleagues, I have chosen not to participate as an in-network provider with insurance companies. This decision allows me to work directly with you, the client, ensuring that my focus remains on your well-being, rather than on the requirements of insurance companies, which often serve as a barrier to client-centered care.
Many clients prefer this approach for several reasons, including:
Enhanced privacy and confidentiality, as I am not obligated to share personal details with insurance companies.
Flexibility in the number of sessions and types of treatment, without being restricted by insurance limitations.
The absence of a psychiatric diagnosis, which is often required by in-network therapists for insurance reimbursement. I believe that all individuals can benefit from therapy, regardless of a diagnosis.

Investment and Reduced Fee Information
I understand that therapy can be costly prior to receiving your insurance reimbursement. I view this as an investment in you – in your present and in your future. I encourage everyone to find a spot in their budget for therapy – I promise you will realize how valuable the time and space of therapy can be, and how great of an investment it is.
For those without reimbursement benefits or in struggling financial situations, reduced fee and sliding scale services are available on a case by case basis. Please email info@hopefulcoretherapy.com for information on our reduced fee process.
