Professional Background and Credentials

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with extensive training in reproductive mental health, trauma-informed care, clinical supervision, and general psychotherapy. I hold a Masters of Social Work degree from University of Maryland-Baltimore and am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and trained through Postpartum Support International for Perinatal Mental Health Certification (PMH-C), which has equipped me with the knowledge and skills to support individuals and couples through various life transitions.

My Approach to Therapy

I believe in a compassionate, client-centered approach that meets each person where they are in their journey. Whether it's navigating the challenges of pregnancy, infertility, postpartum, working through trauma, or generally managing your mental health, I work collaboratively with clients to help them develop practical tools, emotional resilience, and a deeper sense of self-awareness. I integrate Narrative Therapy, Strengths-based therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), while working through a lense of respecting everyone’s individuality and past experiences that shape them today. My goal is to create a safe and supportive environment.

Why I Chose this Path

I became a therapist because I’ve witnessed firsthand the power of emotional healing and self-discovery. As an awkward teen who had to adjust to the demands of adulthood, I recognized the lack of support for these life adjustments, and knew I wanted to help make therapy more widely available. Since becoming a therapist, I’ve gone through my own struggles that have further validated why I do what I do. As a mother of two IVF babies, I personally understand the emotional complexities that come with fertility struggles and parenthood. This personal experience, combined with my professional training, allows me to offer a unique perspective and a deep sense of empathy for those facing similar challenges.

Personal Touch

Outside of therapy, I enjoy spending time with my family, parenting my two exhausting, yet adorable kiddos, and buying a new craft/hobby item that I will never end up using (it’s the thought that counts, right?) I’m a big fan of cruises, traveling in general, and have been transformed to a New York Yankees fan courtesy of my husband (not a huge fan, don’t worry).

I’m also passionate about creating a safe and inclusive space in my home and office. I am an extrovert and love connecting with colleagues, friends, and new people in general. I love normalizing the chaos that is life today and trying to put some humor (although, it’s a work in progress, bear with me), in to my everyday life.
